Art Williams
Welcome. I’m Katrina Christie, LCPC, and I provide counseling for teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, mood-related challenges, life transitions, stress, and performance pressure. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or a loved one, I offer a warm, collaborative space to explore what’s holding you back and move toward meaningful change.
With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I’ve worked in community mental health, therapeutic day schools, and private practice. This range of experience allows me to support individuals, teens, and families facing a variety of challenges—from anxiety and depression to life transitions and relationship issues.
In addition to my clinical work, I bring a deep understanding of the mental side of athletics. As a former college basketball player, coach, and parent of professional athletes, I’m especially passionate about helping athletes manage performance pressure, build mental resilience, and recover from setbacks.
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) – State of Illinois
M.Ed. in Community Counseling – Loyola University Chicago
B.S. in Psychological Services – Northwestern University
I combine strong academic training with over two decades of real-world clinical experience to provide thoughtful, evidence-based support to my clients.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trust. I create a space where clients feel seen and heard—where they can safely explore what’s holding them back and begin to shift long-standing patterns.
Together, we’ll identify your goals and develop practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. Whether you’re coping with anxiety, adjusting to a life transition, or working to build confidence, I’ll meet you where you are and support you in moving toward the life you want to create.
Depression, anxiety, and other mood-related challenges can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to face them alone. These struggles are among the most common reasons people seek therapy, and with the right support, healing is possible.
Through a compassionate, individualized approach, I help clients work through the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that may be holding them back. Together, we’ll focus on building insight, developing coping tools, and reconnecting with the motivation, perspective, and sense of joy that may feel out of reach right now.
Whether you’re experiencing a recent onset of symptoms or managing a long-term mood disorder, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Growing up today comes with unique challenges—whether you’re navigating middle school, high school, college, or early adulthood. Academic pressure, social stress, identity questions, family issues, and past trauma can all feel overwhelming at times.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where young people can feel heard and supported. Together, we build a trusting therapeutic relationship that allows us to explore what’s going on beneath the surface and develop healthy strategies for moving forward.
Whether it’s managing anxiety, building confidence, coping with change, or working through more complex emotional struggles, I’m here to help adolescents and young adults feel empowered and more in control of their lives.
Life is full of transitions—some expected, others completely unexpected. Whether you’re facing a new career path, relationship changes, a move, parenting challenges, or entering a new life stage, it’s normal to feel uncertain or overwhelmed.
Therapy offers a supportive space to explore the thoughts and emotions that come with change. Together, we can clarify your goals, build resilience, and help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
I'm happy to answer any questions or to begin the process of scheduling your first appointment. I will respond as soon as I can-typically within 24 hours. Please note that email and text are not secure for sharing sensitive information.
